The longing for tranquility was slowly replaced with apathy as the misanthrope in her got the final say. She wanted to love but what was the point? She dug herself further into the core of her being until she couldn’t hide anymore. Exposed to the world she began her quest for the meaning of it all, but like with everything else she ended up empty-handed. She gave it all her best but that was never good enough. In the darkness she looked for that voice of reason that would soothe the growing despair. The emptiness that will not be filled leaves her full but never content.
