Forever Summer
03:04
|
|||
The wind caressing my face
Water making me weightless
Forever lost in this moment
Floating in a perfect memory
The rays of light, reflecting in your hair
A hint of a smile, playing on your lips.
Blue eyes piercing the book in front of you.
The touch of wrinkled skin
A scent of lilac soap
Muffled conversations under blankets
The crisp sound of pages
And the sun, the sun was always shining.
I close my eyes and we are there again, together
I recall the memories and we are there again, together
Forever summer with you.
Sunshine, wind, water,
hair, eyes, lips,
books, skin, soap,
summer forever
Forever summer with you
Forever summer with you
Summer with you

Our narrator wakes up smothered by darkness surrounding her from all sides.
She pulls herself out of bed
Looking outside her window she sees the seasons change and the people with it.
But she never does, she always stands there, watching outside her window.
The trees turn yellow and red and lose their leaves, snow falls, the sun comes out
and the trees turn green again.
Inside everything is the same, all year around.
Our narrator pushes herself to face the mirror
She tells herself:
- This is the day
- Today has to be the day.
- Today is the day, today has to be the day when I let everything inside, today is
the day.
- Today is the day, today has to be the day when I make a difference
- Today is the day, today has to be the day when I let everything back inside or
not live at all.
Our narrator goes to bed covered in fear
She talks to the shadows as friends, pleading for them to end what was never
started.
If she could have another chance she says, she would make it all differently.
In the mute darkness she gives herself another tomorrow.
She tells herself:
- Today is the day, today has to be the day
- When I let it all in again.
- Today is the day, today has to be the day when I change my life.
- Today!
But her reflection just stares back without conviction and nothing ever changes.

Bitter Verses
02:43
|
|||
Stay put, don´t move, keep your arms to your sides and ventilate. Life will start in a little bit; you just stand there and wait for it.
Life is what happens when you plan for the future; I learned that the hard way. I waited patiently on my knees while life flew me by.
Leaving me bitter, so bitter.
I waited for life to find me, I´m still here, I´m still waiting.
I dream, I live, I see, I try
You mourn, you stay, you wait, you die – you die.
I dream, I live, I see, I try
You mourn, you stay, you wait, you die – you die.
Missing out on life left a bitter taste, seeing people living and wished for the same but I never changed. I waited for life to find me while I slowly died, day by day.
Leaving me bitter, so bitter
I´m still here, I am still waiting right here.
I dream, I live, I see, I try
You mourn, you stay, you wait you die – you die.
I dream, I live, I see, I try
You mourn, you stay, you wait you die – you die.

Without Scaffolding
04:06
|
|||
Skyscraper-eyes looking back at you
Empty gapes of steel and glass fronting vast corridors
Rain licking its surface creates illusions of tears for these windows.
Can you hear me scream from the inside?
I´m steel, I´m wood, I´m glass, all high and mighty but not stronger than my weakest link
When shadows creep closer, what we put a blind-eye to, suddenly re-appear. In loneliness we are all fragile, without scaffoldings holding us up, we all fall from grace. We all fall from grace without scaffoldings holding us up.
Can you hear me scream? Can you see me reaching out to you?
I can stand tall in the storm, I can handle the wind breaking my bones but I can´t stand here alone.
We, we all fall from grace, without scaffoldings holding us up, we all fall from grace.
How long are we pretending that our empty houses are what we are longing for?
We are all safe as houses but utterly alone.
